The Women’s Basketball team is a well-known and growing club that welcomes players of all ability to train and play in a friendly and dedicated environment.
The team had a very successful 2019/20 season, despite it being cut short. This season lead to us being promoted, whilst the girls bonded and developed very well together. The 2021/22 season will see the team play in South Eastern Tier 2 against other universities in the South East of the UK.
The club prides itself on it's ability to create a competitive environment for development of the team and individuals, but also, an incredibly social and close-knit club. The women’s basketball team is open to individuals of all abilities with some members having represented county and regional levels, whilst others never playing basketball before. It is this diversity that allows the team to really develop individuals whilst being in a welcoming environment. We are hoping to be fully back on the court and representing the Uni again this year whilst entering the new leauge.
