If you are a 1st year BOC or BRC campus based University of Chichester student this is important to you!
Â
The Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) is a document that will be provided along with your degree certificate and will contain information that has been verified about roles and responsibilities you have undertaken while at University to build your future employability.
There is a section known as 6.1, which is in relation to volunteering (i.e. charity engagement), extra-curricular activities (i.e. Clubs & Societies leadership) and placements (outside of your course).
The Students’ Union will be responsible for the verification of many of the activities that fall within Section 6.1.
For a list of these activities or for assistance with the submission process, please contact Casper Beade (UCSU Volunteering & Activities Coordinator) email: d.beade@chi.ac.uk.
If you DO NOT register for the HEAR and do not undertake any activities within this area, your 6.1 will be empty but still visible to employers so it is vital you take this on.
So, early spring, all 1st years will receive an email to register.
As the Students' Union & on behalf of the University we very much encourage you to do so and will assist you all the way!
