Hi! I am from Brighton and my family home has two gorgeous dogs that I miss all the time! I love to read, especially historical fiction, and I study creative writing. My guilty pleasures are mindless reality TV shows such as '90-day fiancé' and 'Selling Sunset', I can't get enough of them. I love to cook, and hope to one day merge writing and cooking together and write cookbooks! My favourite colour is green, my favourite food is mozzarella (don't judge) and my favourite comfort show is 'The Big Bang Theory'.

Are you involved with any clubs and societies, or have you worked for the SU in any other roles such as bar/shop staff? No, but I hope to join Yoga and Rowing this year! 

Your role and responsibilities 

• Represents views, interests of sports, clubs & societies on student council and to the university
• To support & encourage the creation of new student led groups (general interest & sport)
• Propose policy relating to SU activity to student council

• To encourage more cross-campus communication and involvement 
• To ensure all societies are being inclusive and non-discriminatory towards anyone, whether that be a new member or an existing one
• To motivate new students who may feel intimidated to join or set up a society to make the leap! 
• To promote the ideal that everyone should feel comfortable to pursue the interests that they love, in a safe and friendly environment

 

What are you are looking forward to achieving with your role? 

I'm looking forward to working with my fellow officers to create a campus bursting with growth and promise. I am so motivated to make sure that every single student has a place where they can socialise and feel comfortable, whether that be in a club or society or at the SU.
