The University of Chichester’s Cheerleading team was established in 2004. Now “WSIHE Wolves” we are a group of individuals who are passionate to grow and show off the sport that has bought so many of us together. We are mostly a self-taught and coached team with some of our athletes competing and training with All Star teams such as –
- Top Gun UK (formally Zodiac)
- Storm Athletics
- Hellcats Cheerleading
- Sussex Tornados
We are a Co-ed team welcoming everyone from all backgrounds, levels and training, from those with zero cheerleading experience to those with extensive gymnastic and or dance backgrounds. We compete at various competitions across the country throughout the season, we also take part in Varsity with Winchester Spirits where we go head-to-head in various sections of cheer and is an amazing chance for us to work together as a collective and have some friendly competition.
WSIHE Wolves consists of 3 competitive teams and 1 development team –
- Level 2 Tumbling – Diamond
- Level 1 tumbling – Amber
- Pom – Sapphire
- Development – Emerald
In our 2019 – 2020 season our pom team Sapphire were crowned national champions at Legacy Cheer and dance, from there following covid we have spent the last 3 seasons building the reputation of the sport within the university and getting the recognition it deserves and we have done that through pure passion and love for the sport. We are all looking forward to progressing as a team and what this season will hold for WSIHE Wolves.
