Hello!

Some of you may know me or may not… yet! I am third year musical theatre cabaret student, originally from Oxford (btw I’m not a tory) and would love your vote in this election! 

I have been in events for the last 8 years or so, from helping run stalls at fairs / organise events right the way through to producing shows both here at the university and externally. My journey started with events in the scouting association where we organised and ran multiple events for charity and has progressed to me now helping run food festival theatres, charity ladies nights and leading / producing successful drag shows in Oxford where I am an up and coming queen. I also have produced all the musicals with the musical theatre society last year (21-22) as well as the “What a drag nights” we’ve had in the student union - oh I am the host too @scarlettvonkokofficial ;)

These were all very fun, creative and successful events allowing people who watched to enjoy themselves and those who where creatively involved flourish.

I am a good candidate as I have a good working relationship with the student union (I won the SU award last year) and my own course, helping run events and suggest ideas of ways to be inclusive and allow everyone to have a good time, with my speciality being in the LGBTQ sector as I am Vice President of LGBTQ+ society - we help support the SU in being inclusive and running queer events! 

I’m creative and Independent ,when needs be, but I can also contribute and strive in a team. I believe that events held here should be for everyone in terms of accessibility (I run my drag shows on venues that are accessible by all as everyone should be allowed to enjoy what goes on) and that everyone has the right to enjoy themselves.

Some ideas I have include:

• Events both with and without drinking 
• Artistic / performance shows (fashion show / showcase / cabaret)
• Themed nights 
• Good line up for summer ball (tributes / bands / DJs)
• A variety of entertainment 
• Spaces that can be less crowded at events for those that need it 
• Support for people at events if they need it in a variety of different areas 

I am very open to listen to everyone as their voice matters and want to incorporate as many ideas as possible. I also am good with budgets so will haggle if we need too, to be able to get an enjoyable experience.
