The Students’ Union are working closely with the University regarding the impacts of Coronavirus (Covid-19) on the University, and its community.
We are putting safety first! This is how we are taking action:
Face masks must be worn by all (unless you are exempt) while moving around the University through all indoor spaces, that includes the bars and shop! If you are sat down, only then can you take your mask off.
Rule of SIX (6) - please move around the campus in groups no larger than six and remember to maintain social distancing. We will only allow groups of 6 or less into our venues.
Test and Trace – We support NHS test and trace, download the NHS app, when entering SU venues please scan the QR codes and continue to scan into venues using your campus card.
Closing time – our venues will be closed by 10pm.
Social Distancing – keep your distance and maintain a 2m gap between yourself and others, outside of your household.
- If you develop symptoms of COVID-19 do not come onto campus/stay in your halls.
- You must self-isolate and notify the University by email immediately at covidreport@chi.ac.uk.
- Please ensure you share your current term-time address with the University.
- You must also arrange to be tested via the gov.uk website.
- Whilst you are waiting for the results of the test, anyone else in your house should also self-isolate.
Symptoms
The most common symptoms of coronavirus are recent onset of:
- New continuous cough and/or
- High temperature
- Loss of taste and/or smell
In line with Government advice, if you have any or all of these symptoms, as a precautionary measure you will need to self isolate. Please refer to the Public Health England website for the most up to date information.
