Are you interested in playing sport? Would you like to play competitively for the University or recreationally with friends? Here at the University of Chichester we have a wide range of sports for you to play.

In addition to our clubs’ training sessions and competitive fixtures, the Sports Federation (a student led committee) organise sporting events throughout the year for members. Highlights include varsity, Sports Tour, and ‘our flagship event’ The SU Sports Awards. We also have a number of charity events such as ‘wear it pink’ and ‘wear it blue’ nights in support of health and awareness raising charities.

When you join a sport club/team you become part of the WSIHE* family and have the chance to celebrate every Wednesday, whether you’ve won or lost, as this is when most sports fixtures for the British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) league are played.

With our sports clubs being led by students, you have a chance to become personally involved and could find yourself leading from the front as President or Captain of your chosen club.

Here at Chichester we want to give you the best experience when it comes to playing sports, so come and talk to us and find out what we can offer.

*WSIHE is the name for all our sports fed members and stands for West Sussex Institute of Higher Education, the old name for the University back when it first started, and is pronounced WISHY.
