In need of a laugh or two? Here are a few of our favorite podcasts . . . just to warn you, we find them funny – you may not! They are in no particular order, therefore have a read up and see what takes your fancy! 

Podcasts are great, if you have not listened one before now is your chance, find a topic that you like and get stuck in, there is so much more out there than comedy! 

This is your chance to switch the TV, curl up with a cuppa and a chance to get lost into your own world. Remember, it is ok to laugh out loud!

1. Off Menu 

Ed Gamble and James Acaster bring the best of comedy and food together in a celeb filled imaginary restaurant. Each guest orders their dream meal — starter, main course, and dessert — and each course is interrogated by the acerbic main duo, who also offer prompts such as “tap, still or sparkling water?” then do with the response what they will.  

 

2. Entry Level 

This might be the podcast for grads-to-be as Brook Wheelan interviews celebrities to find out what awful jobs they had to put up with before they got to the position they're in now.  

 

3. The Read 

A weekly podcast hosted by vlogger Kid Fury and internet personality Crissle West covering pop culture and society. Regular sections including Black Excellence and The Read perfectly curates a podcast which both inspires and makes you laugh. Forget Norwich, a few episodes in you’ll feel like you’re part of the New York City conversation.  

 

4. Last Podcast on the Left  

Three long-term friends come together for a weekly podcast on anything and everything to do with horror. The guys cover serial killers, conspiracy theories, UFO sightings, ghosts, and fan-submitted readings. If lengthy episodes aren’t your thing, they also have a Side Stories series with 20-minute episodes.  

 

5. Help I Sexted My Boss 

Any Radio 1 listener will know the voice of Jordan North who joins Britain’s leading etiquette expert William Hanson for an agony aunt style podcast. Coming from very different backgrounds, they each bring something unique to helping listeners navigate the struggles of modern life.  

 

6. Keep It  

The podcast where pop culture and politics meet on a weekly basis. |Our three hosts are joined by comedians, journalists, actors, musicians, activists and politicians to discuss the top topics of the week. Their most recent episode on Social Distancing is fantastic if you want to feel less alone in the whole situation.  

 

7. Do You Need A Ride?  

The original Comedians in Cars with Coffee – since 2013 Chris Fairbanks and Karen Killgariff have been picking up and dropping celebrities around LA, sharing stories and putting the world to right. A mix of comedy, seriousness and riffs between the hosts, it’s the perfect podcast for driving or feeling less alone.  

 

8. My Brother, My Brother and Me  

Three brothers sit down for aa weekly podcast answering listener questions or those found on Yahoo! While the questions might send the brothers down a conversational rabbit hole, there’s always a takeaway for listeners in a time where distracting yourself is welcome. 

 

9. The Peter Crouch Podcast 

A chart-topping podcast for those who love football and conversations in the pub. Originally focusing on topics from his bestselling book, Peter Crouch covers everything listeners need to know about being a professional footballer.

 

10. Sh**ged Married Annoyed

The only way Rosie and Chris Ramsey can have a conversation without being interrupted by a toddler or ending up staring at their phones is by doing a podcast. They’ll be chatting all about life, relationships, arguments, annoyances, parenting, growing up and everything in between. Each week they will answer questions from the public and a secret celebrity.
