We are looking to recruit two volunteer External (Lay) Trustees to join our Board of Trustees, starting spring/summer 2021.
Here at UCSU, as with many other organisations we have a mission and vision but in reality, this equates to supporting our students and enhancing their time at University. We believe we already do a great job of this and we are constantly looking at ways to improve what we do. Trustees help ensure that the Union is accountable to its members and that students have their views heard at this level, they provide student expertise, experience and knowledge of the current student experience. As a Lay Trustee, you will be at the centre of decision-making within the Students’ Union.

Formal interviews will be held on the Chichester Campus, or remotely during April.
Appointment decision will be made by the Operations Committee (by a simple majority vote), and will then be subject to ratification by Student Council (where a 75% majority is required).
Appointment of successful candidates will be confirmed and the successful candidates will be invited to attend the next Board Meeting.
