Part-time positions (voluntary) are completed alongside a students studies. They are a great way to develop skills and make a difference by helping to run the students' union and direct its work to support the whole diverse student body.

Student Officers

Each of our Student Officers specialises in a different element of student life covering Academia, Activities and Inclusion. They have a network of contacts they can call upon to provide advice. We don’t want you to suffer in silence so please do get in touch no matter how large or small the problem and always know that anything you tell us is held in the strictest confidence.

No matter who you are, how old you are or where you’re from, make sure you come along to the SU – it’s time to make some new friends and lasting memories.

Student Officers are volunteers and give their own time, around their studies, to represent you and focus on key areas of student life that they are passionate about. There are up to sixteen Student Officers who speak up for different parts of the student body, particularly for groups whose views are normally underrepresented or who face specific issues at University, linked to their identity. Every officer sits on Student Council, having a say in how the SU shapes policy and the direction it takes for that year.
