We process personal information to enable us to give a broad range of services to our members which may include administering memberships, Providing and Organising activities for Union members; Promoting and running Welfare and Commercial activities and all other interests of the charity; Supporting and managing our members, employees, volunteers, customers/suppliers and contractors; Maintaining our own accounts and records and the Prevention of Crime and Disorder.

The EU General Data Protection Regulation replaces the UK Data Protection Act 1998 on 25 May 2018.  This legislation relates to the processing of personal data about identifiable, living individuals

UCSU has to comply with the requirements of this legislation, which regulates the processing of personal data and protects the rights of individuals whom the data is about by placing duties on those who decide how and why such data is processed, details about the information we process are included on the ICO Register of data controllers, which is available for public inspection.
