Advice

University is a lot. New home, new routine, new relationships, new commitments. You’ll have questions, challenges, dilemmas, and maybe even a bad moment from time to time. We’re here: to listen, to understand, to advise, to support, both throughout your university journey and beyond. You can ask us for advice that is: Free; Practical; Impartial; Confidential; Non-judgemental. No matter your issue, we are here for you. We’ll solve your problem together.

  • Academic Support Your education is our priority. We want you to achieve the best possible degree in the best possible learning environment. We make this happen by strengthening the relationship (and partnership) between you and your lecturers.
  • Accommodation This is more than a university. This is your home. We work closely with the University to make sure it is a happy one. You will find comfortable and secure places to live throughout your time as a student. This will ease your transition if you have joined us from a different city or country.
  • Disabilities Over 60,000 disabled students apply through UCAS each year. You might be one of these disabled students. Rest assured, you will find support, representation, and understanding waiting for you.
  • Finances & Money You are investing in your future. But that investment needs care and attention. As a student, you’ll need to budget, manage your money, and live within your means. You might even need additional funding and sources of income to ensure you are thriving, not just surviving.
  • Health & Wellbeing Your wellbeing comes first. We’re here to help you through any challenges you might be facing, within or outside of your studies.
