To cap off an educational 2 days at the annual NUS conference, the Students' Union President and Vice President attended the NUS Awards 2017 where Zee Bar retained gold accreditation for Best Bar None!
Union officers and staff came together on Wednesday night at the NEC in Birmingham to celebrate excellence within the student movement at the NUS Awards 2017. Sophie Blanks, our newly elected Vice President for Education, commented that 'the awards night was great and it was really good see the success of other Students' Unions from around the UK'.
Our sabbatical officers were joined by John, Jackie, Rachael and Holly from the bars team to represent the University of Chichester Students' Union. Our one and only Zee bar won gold in the Best Bar None awards and also made it onto the list of finalists for the overall award. Sadly we didn't take the main prize this year but there was a plentiful supply of prosecco so the team didn't feel too down!
The SU bar has managed to lay claim to a few awards since 2010 and this is another jewel in the crown of what we think is one of the best student bars around. A big congratulations to all the team who make Zee Bar such a great venue for the student community throughout the year!
The NUS awards took place in Birmingham this year and there were plenty more prizes awarded so if you're interested to see who else won then head over to the NUS website to check out all the latest.
Well done again Zee Bar, keep up the good work!
