About Us

The Mens Basketball Club prides itself on combining competitive Basketball with a friendly and sporting atmosphere that students of all abilities can enjoy.

The Basketball Society is home to players of all levels, from complete beginners to experienced pro players. We compete in the BUCS league, and our strongest players have the chance to go further still, with pathways into Worthing Thunder NBL Division 2 and Worthing Thunder BCB through our partnership with the club. We also work closely with Sussex Basketball Performance to give members access to proper strength and conditioning support alongside their on-court development.

What we offer

  • Team training twice a week: Mondays 6:00–8:00pm and Fridays 8:00–9:45pm
  • Weekly scrimmages and dedicated shooting sessions
  • Dedicated athlete court access and small group workouts
  • Strength & conditioning support and performance testing
  • A Gifted Athlete Support Programme for our most competitive players

This year

Alongside our regular BUCS fixtures and training, we'll keep building our relationship with Worthing Thunder and Sussex Basketball Performance to give members a genuine route to play at a higher level. Whether you want to play competitively, get fitter, or just have fun on the court, there's a place for you in the society.
