We are a group aiming to raise awareness of the d/Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. It is our belief that more people should have a basic understanding of how to communicate in BSL and create a more inclusive and aware student body at the university. This society is a space for us to all learn and practice together regardless of ability, background and experience.
We will be running a weekly social session on the Bishops Otter Campus for anyone who wants to learn and practice signs, as well as play some sign language games! These sessions will include learning some basic signs each week, as well as a social element such as playing sign language games, board games, quizzes, pizza and movie nights.
