SHAG: Sexual Health Awareness & Guidance
Let’s Talk About Sex, Safely and Confidently
What is SHAG?
SHAG stands for Sexual Health Awareness and Guidance — and it’s more than just a catchy name. It’s a life-long campaign packed with events, resources, and conversations designed to break down taboos, promote safe sex, and celebrate healthy relationships. Think of it as your go-to guide for everything from contraception to consent, pleasure to protection.
Whether you’re sexually active, curious, or simply want to learn more, SHAG is for everyone. No judgement, no awkwardness — just real talk and reliable info.
Why Sexual Health Matters
Sexual health is just as important as physical and mental health — but it’s often overlooked or shrouded in stigma. We want to change that.
- STIs are common among 16–24-year-olds, but testing is quick, easy, and free.
- Contraception isn’t one-size-fits-all — explore your options and find what works for you.
- Pleasure is part of the conversation — because sex should feel good and be safe.
- Consent is non-negotiable — and it applies to every kind of relationship.
Inclusive, Always
SHAG is proudly inclusive of all genders, sexualities, and identities. Whether you’re LGBTQIA+, asexual, non-binary, or just figuring things out — you’re welcome here. We’re committed to making sexual health resources accessible and relevant to everyone.
