Buddy Scheme

Are you going to be starting at Chichester University this year as a new student?

ALREADY Thinking about settling in, how induction works, where to go, what there is to do?

Then sign up for the SU Buddy Scheme

In the Buddy Scheme you will be matched with a current student (Buddy Volunteer) where possible according to your preferences: such as interests, course and primary language. Your Buddy Volunteer will have already been through the experience of being new to Chichester University and should also be able to help you adjust to student life.

Experience shows that it is useful for new students to be matched with a current student who will know what it is like studying at Chichester University, what issues they faced and where to go to get the most out of University, how to settle in and enjoy the experience.

Once paired with a Buddy Volunteer you will meet around once a week (or more if you are both happy to do so) and they will help you with any questions you may have or direct you to right place to get the information or support you need.

Buddy Volunteers are current students at Chichester University who are matched with a new student, their Buddy, and will contact them before they arrive and meet them over the Autumn and Spring terms to help them settle into life at University.

Whether you are looking for a buddy or wishing to volunteer, any Chichester student can sign up
