Colours Appeal

 

If you wish to appeal the intial decision in regards to your colours, please complete the survey below before the deadline of the 17th March 2020. Please note, no late or verbal appeals will be accepted.

 

We strongly recommend students appeal their own colours to ensure no information is missed

COLOURS CRITERIA

1.  Must be a member of the Sports Federation and a member of a sports club or society with no outstanding membership and match fees.

2. Must have an unblemished disciplinary record regarding behaviour within the Students’ Union this may encompass campus or academic issues that the union are aware of or have seen a vast improvement in behaviour if initial issues occur.

3. Students must be in their final year of study.

 

Team ColoursFor leavers that have played a majority of games (70%) or competed in a specific competition in each year of their study (under/post graduate) for a UoC Sports Club (not just 1st team).  Consideration will be given for students injured and unable to compete/participate in a year. (Names announced on the night only)

 

Club Colours -Club Colours are for leavers that have been a Club Official (minimum of 1 year) who have carried out ideally 2 roles to a high standard. Club colours may be awarded for highly distinguished club service usually over a two year period in the area of administration, organisation and Club promotion. Students must also have an unblemished disciplinary record and have consistently shown high levels of sportsmanship on or off the field as well as being an excellent ambassador for sport at the University of Chichester. 

 

Full Colours– Full colours are awarded for students that have regularly represented the University at a high level and have performed consistently with unusual distinction. Consideration shall be given to the relatives of status and achievement between sports and, if applicable, the position or role performed. The nomination form must be endorsed by a President or Vice-President of the nominee’s club who can vouch for i) their good character as a sports person, ii) their commitment to the University sport, and iii) their exceptional ability to implement their voluntary role within their sport.
