Hiya love! I’m Izzy Page your new Student’s Union President 2023/24, I’m a northern gal who decided to travel the furthest south for university and it’s definitely worth the 5 hour drive. I’m very bubbly, friendly and will chat your ear off…so you’re welcome! I’m a musical theatre kid and you can definitely tell when you meet me but there is more to me I promise, however you are likely to see me stealing the stage at karaoke. I’m very passionate about making everyone feel welcome and loved, I definitely have my mum to thank for that because our quote is “love is love”. I’m a bit obsessed with clothes and could open my own shop with how many I own so if you ever need to borrow something, head my way. 

 

What Course did you study? I have just graduated Musical Theatre (Cabaret) 

 

How did you get involved with the SU? Before running for President I Worked in both the SU bar and shop since my first year of Uni so I’m very familiar with how that runs and the values we stand for. 

 

UCSU President roles and responsibilities 

• Main spokesperson for the student body to the University’s senior management team. 
• Assists the vice president with the student voice programme
• Key role in organizing and running SU Campaigns and events

• Help with finances, especially around food
• Further pushing sustainability 
• Encourage sport participation 
• Improve overall quality of life for students
